Privacy Policy

What we collect

Fairest collects only what we need to run the platform you signed up for:

• Authentication data — your name, email, and Clerk-managed identity. Provided by you at sign-up, or via Google OAuth.
• Profile data you enter — your NMLS number, role, current company, production figures, compensation structure, business expenses, and priorities.
• Journey data — companies you're evaluating, the questions you're asking, your meeting notes, pricing scenarios, and the activity log. This includes data from invited contacts who contribute to your journey.
• Anonymized team labels — if you describe your team economics, we store role and economics only. Never names. This is a structural promise, not a feature toggle.
• Feedback you send via the in-app feedback mechanism.

How it's stored

Your data lives in Supabase Postgres, encrypted at rest. Sessions are managed by Clerk and use cookies that expire on sign-out or after a period of inactivity.

How it's used

We use your data to operate Fairest — to show you your journeys, calculate your take-home math, recommend questions, and let invited contacts contribute alongside you.

We never sell your data. We never share it with third parties except for essential service providers (Clerk for auth, Supabase for storage, Modex if you opt into production verification). We never use individual user data to populate community signals shown to other users — community percentages come from aggregate statistics, never identifying.

Newsletter

When you create a Fairest account, we add you to the Fairest newsletter — a low-frequency email (roughly monthly) covering market context, comp benchmarking, and product updates relevant to loan officers thinking about their next move.

You can unsubscribe at any time from the toggle on your profile or from the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email. We never share your email with third parties for their marketing.

Your rights

You can request an export of all data we hold about you. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data. Email us at support@fairest.app and we'll handle it within seven days.

When you delete your account, your journeys, pricing scenarios, and profile data are removed. Activity entries that mention you by name on someone else's journey are anonymized but preserved as part of the journey's history.

Cookies

Fairest uses cookies only for essential functions: keeping you signed in, and remembering your active journey selection. No analytics cookies, no ad tracking.

Invited contacts

When a loan officer invites a contact into a journey, that contact gets access only to that specific journey. They can read and contribute to the shared workspace, but they cannot see anything about you outside of it — no other journeys, no personal profile data, no priorities, no business expenses.
